I ordered from Hero Forge and, the payment process was exactly what you’d expect. My card went through on the first try, the confirmation came in quickly, and there weren’t any surprise double charges or weird issues. Straightforward, which is all I really wanted.

I really liked messing around with the character builder, and the model itself looks cool. But the STL was way more annoying to print than I expected. It kind of felt like it was advertised as being ready to go, but in reality I spent a bunch of time fighting with supports and trying to keep tiny thin parts from snapping. Maybe it works better on a resin printer, but on my setup it was a hassle. For what I paid, I expected a cleaner file that matched the promise a bit better

I wasn’t expecting overnight delivery or anything, but it just sat there with no updates for days, and I kept checking like something was going to magically change. For what I paid, I expected the process to move a little smoother. Good product overall, just a frustrating wait...

I kind of regret not using Hero Forge earlier. There’s so much you can customize, from the face and outfit to the pose, gear, and even the colors. I went in thinking I’d just make something quick, but I ended up spending way longer than I planned just tweaking every little detail. The best part is it never felt confusing or annoying to use. It was actually really fun, and I’m happy with how my character turned out.

The mini stand stays steady overall. The base does feel a little light on my uneven shelves, but that might just be my fault for putting it on a wobbly old shelf in the first place...

The production time was MUCH better than I thought it’d be, and I got updates along the way so I wasn’t left wondering what was going on. No issues at all, just a super smooth order from start to finish. Really happy with how fast everything went.

The model itself looks really cool, but I got frustrated waiting for it to arrive, and then painting it wasn’t as fun as I hoped. Some of the tiny details were too shallow to work with easily, and the plastic didn’t take paint as well as I expected. It’s not terrible, but it ended up being more annoying than enjoyable.

The smaller details came through clearly too, both looking at it and just handling it. It’s funny because I noticed the cape first, then the little armor bits, then went back to the fabric again. Overall it just felt more finished than I thought it would, not cheap or flat at all.

The print colors look really nice and vibrant, which I was happy to see right away. The only thing I noticed is that some of the tiny details came out a bit soft, so it’s not quite as sharp as I expected. Still, overall it has a really lovely look to it, and I felt genuinely excited seeing it in person.

I ordered my Hero Forge mini a few months back, around the same time our group started a new campaign, and it’s been riding around in my dice bag ever since. I usually just toss that bag in my backpack with notebooks, snacks, and whatever else I forget is in there, so I was expecting the smaller bits to take some damage. The sword and arms are still totally fine though, which surprised me. The material feels sturdy and not like that cheap, bendy plastic you sometimes get with minis. The paint has held up well too, aside from one tiny worn spot on an edge. Overall, I’m happy with it

I had a good time messing around with Hero Forge, the amount of stuff you can customize is REALLY cool. It’s easy to lose track of time tweaking little details on your mini.
The only thing that bugged me was the pose balance. A pose might look awesome from one angle, but then you spin the model around and it suddenly looks like the character is leaning too much or standing kind of awkwardly. I had to go back and redo mine a few times because of that.

Overall, I still think it’s a solid tool and I’d use it again. I just wish the posing setup made it easier to tell when something is going to look natural before you get too far into customizing it.

The scale turned out just right for my minis, so I didn’t have to do any adjusting or guesswork. It fits in with the rest of my setup really well.

I love playing around with Hero Forge. Making a custom mini is super fun, and I can spend way too long tweaking tiny details. At the same time, the site kind of drives me nuts sometimes. The 3D builder can take forever to load for me, and it occasionally freezes when I swap parts or make changes. It usually sorts itself out if I wait, so it’s not unusable, but it definitely doesn’t feel smooth. Great concept and a fun tool, just with average performance.

I like the site overall, but my order issue took way too long to get a response. When they finally got back to me, the reply felt a bit generic instead of actually addressing my situation. I’m sure other customers would appreciate faster, more personal support too, because the shopping experience itself is solid.
